Vintage dog figure made by SYLVAC, England
This is a seated YORKSHIRE TERRIER affectionately known as a YORKIE
Model 5027
Likely dates from the 1950s
Completely hand painted in tans and blacks
The eyes are particularly wonderful as is the typical bow to hold back the fur
Excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, other damage or restoration
Some fine pottery glaze crazing noted
Measures 5 1/4" tall
Marked with as shown in photo 5027 SYLVAC MADE IN ENGLAND impressed and SYLVAC CERAMICS ENGLAND stamped in black (this latter mark is rare)
You can check all SylvaC reference materials (published and online) to see this model number  is genuine and authentic
