You are bidding on an interesting uncatalogued 1960 American Flyer diesel passenger set which includes a neat Baldwin diesel and three five digit red stripe passenger cars.
This is a clean and hard to find set.
This is ALOT of vintage train for the money, and an item you will be proud of. Or perhaps you have an American Flyer collector on your gift list.  Can you imagine the look on that collector's face Christmas morning opening this set, right out of 1960?

We have provided 24 supersizable pictures--take advantage of them and look at every detail before bidding. ****There are even MANY more pictures below under the "ADDED DESCRIPTION".*** Remember just how close up these pictures are! Here is a detailed breakdown of each item for your consideration:
21813 Minneapolis St Louis Baldwin Diesel
Peoria Gateway. Engine runs and reverses, but could use a service before seeing significant track time as it has been sitting for many years and is somewhat dry and loud.
Looks great. Nice printing. Some light scratches. A small spot on the top of the headlight. The usual hairline crack on the rear deck and screwhole. Small screwhole chip under the screw, also common on these Baldwins.There is a small nick on the roof's edge which is difficult to detect, but there. All steps complete.
If you intend to run this very hard to find collectible engine, it is best with two of the three cars in the set. This engine, like all Baldwins, is not known to be among Flyer's strongest pullers.
All passenger cars have silhouettes and knuckle couplers. They are unlighted, as they came from the factory.
THE 24867 Columbus Streamlined COMBINE (Baggage and coach) Combination
Super clean car. Strong stripes and printing. Just a few stray marks. Very clean underside. About as clean as you will find, C7+ or C8 depending on how hard you grade. Not sure you can find cleaner.
THE 24869 streamlined Jefferson Coach
Nice car. Strong stripes and printing. If you look super close, it shows some handling wear on one side, hard to catch on camera, in the silver of the two flat printed stamped areas: around the Jefferson and the "American Flyer Lines". There are numerous pictures below. Small scratch between Jefferson and the number to the right. The other side looks like new.  Clean underside. Pictures show it all.
THE 24868 Washington streamlined OBSERVATION
Super clean car. Strong stripes and printing. Just a few stray marks/rubs from light handling. Extremely clean rear smooth part of the roof. Very clean underside. Has the drumhead. About as clean as you will find, C7+ or C8 depending on how hard you grade.
Age appropriate reproduction boxes.
Don't have regrets for letting something so clean and complete get by you.

We do accept returns within 30 days. Unless there was an error on our end, return shipping is paid by the buyer and the price of the item is refunded upon receipt of iback at Lone Star Trains. If we made a mistake, we pay the return shipping. Items must be in the same condition as when we shipped. We cannot accept returns on orders that were shipped new and then opened. If there is a problem, such as an error in description or condition, we accept returns within 30 days.
