    Description

Here is a 5" tall X 5.25" deep X 3.25" wide creamer by ER Warwick/Phila., made in Germany.
Made for the American market to look as if it was made in the USA.
    "Cheery Chintz" design.
    Called 'calico ware' or 'chintz'
because they resembled floral print cotton fabrics, designs feature a dense, all over pattern of small scale traditional florals without any delineation of form (i.e. stripes or bands or contrasting design elements) in contrast to typical in
    19th century transferware.
Popular through the 1940s, 'calico' would have been typical of the early 1900s, taking its cue from the century before.
It has layers of fields, with a gray on white vermicular pattern in the background, and sprays of violets, pansies, leaves, and tendrils in the foreground. A delicate and sophisticated design.
Lidded creamer / pitcher / jug.
Highlit with gilt on lid handle and rim.
    Stamped 6560/2 on bottom.
