FLUEGEL 1238 City Mail Delivery
Beautiful Fluegel Multi-Color First Day Cover
Cachets by Captain Herman Fluegel and Ida May Fluegel
First cachet was for Scott 932 (.03 FDR) and the last cachet was for Scott 1291 (.30 Dewey, 21 Oct 68)*
His covers are very beautiful and would make a great gift!
These covers were purchased as part of an old time collection that was very well taken care of.
It is possible that this cover was lightly pencil addressed and erased.
The premimum paper of the envelope makes it very hard to tell if the cover was addressed.
*Scott 1361 .06 John Trubell was issued 18 Oct 68, 3 days prior to the Dewey Issue
According to the 2008 US First Day Cover Catalogue & Checklist , Fluegel covers from 1945 to 1959 have a pricing multiplier of 6 to 8 times the regular catalog value.  For 1960 - 1969 issues, the pricing multiplier is 10 to 15 times the regular catalog value.    Of course catalog value is relative on eBay and just gives a benchmark of value.
