Up for sale today is this Vintage 1917 Gibson A Style Mandolin w/ Original Hard Case. Mandolin is in very good condition for its age. Original pickguard was broken and the remains are still attached (see pics). The label inside the sound hole show the Model A with a serial number 39450 dating this to 1917 and was Manufactured in Kalamazoo. There are no cracks or breaks in the body or the neck. The back does have some shrinkage where it meets the sides (see pics). The mandolin has not been played for many years so it may need some tweeking to get it to be a perfect player. The tuners are original and are all intact. Nice antique instrument for a fair price.
